Elizabeth Burrows Southampton
Director
Elizabeth A.C. Burrows has lived in Bruce County for over 25 years. She began her career with the Anishnabe of Biigtigong Nishnaabe on the north shore of Lake Superior and has spent over 20 years as a secondary teacher with the Bluewater Board. She holds an Honours BA from Trent, a BEd from Mount Allison, and a Certificate in Thanatology from Sheridan College. Over the years, she has served with boards including the Bruce Peninsula Family Centre and Home & Community Support Services. Elizabeth and her husband Frank raised their two sons on the Bruce Peninsula, and they enjoy spending time all around the region.

Michelle Forge Meaford
Director
MICHELLE FORGE is a long-time resident of Meaford. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Toronto. Since retiring as the Superintendent of Student Services with the Bluewater District School Board, Michelle has been involved in numerous provincial, national, and international initiatives related to school and system leadership, special education, school-based mental health, and the development of multi-sector partnerships. Michelle is passionate about the power and possibilities of local, provincial, and national collaboration and its potential for positive impact on the health, well-being, and success of all segments of our communities and society.

Elly Green Flesherton
Director
ELLY GREEN has over 20 years of experience supporting organizations’ pursuing social change and building community wealth. Elly is a social impact consultant, a national social enterprise coach with MakeWay Foundation’s Innoweave program, a faculty member at Georgian College, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at Royal Roads University focused on Community Wealth Building and Indigenous priorities in Canada. Since 2022, Elly has volunteered on the Social Impact Investing Committee with CFGB. She was also a key consultant on CFGB’s roll out of three rounds of federal funding to social enterprise under the Investment Readiness Program partnership.
Elly led the Community Benefit Purchasing Project, a partnership project between Ashoka Canada and Georgian College that advanced social procurement in Central Ontario and was the lead for Georgian College’s Centre for Changemaking and Social Innovation and its Social Enterprise Network of Central Ontario (SENCO). Prior to these positions, while living and working in Toronto, she worked with SKETCH Working Arts as their Social Enterprise Developer, spent 8 years supporting individuals facing homelessness in the roles of Volunteer Coordinator, Streets-to-Home Outreach Worker, and as a Frontline Staff, and completed a Bachelor at OCADU.

Selwyn Hicks Hanover
Director
Selwyn J. Hicks graduated from the University of Windsor with both a degree in Law (2000) and MBA (2002), Selwyn was called to the Bar in 2003. Following graduation, Selwyn worked in the Legal department at the Children’s Aid Society in Windsor and at a boutique Toronto law firm specializing in international business law and intellectual property. A partner at Hicks & Hicks in Hanover, Selwyn practices primarily in the areas of real estate and wills/estate planning. A lover of politics, Selwyn was elected to Hanover Council in 2006 where he served two terms as a Councillor and a further two terms as Deputy Mayor. In 2019, Selwyn was elected Warden of the County of Grey and served three terms in that role. He is the first visible minority person to hold that position. In 2017, Selwyn was appointed by Minister Coteau to serve on a working group to implement the new Child, Youth & Family Services Act, 2017. Selwyn has served on boards and committees over the years. He also played an instrumental role in establishing a gymnastics program in the town of Hanover. In 1992, Selwyn was announced Citizen of the Year for Metropolitan Toronto. He also received a Canada 125 medallion and a Lincoln Alexander distinguished service award. Recently, Selwyn received the Law Society of Ontario 2023 Lincoln Alexander Award for long-standing public service.

Rick Hill Wiarton
Chair
RICK HILL retired in 2022 after 39 years as Executive Director of Community Living Associations in Grey and Bruce County. During his career Rick was involved with many planning tables both locally and provincially including local planning groups for mental health, social services, housing, Children’s Alliance. Rick holds a Certificate in Non Profit Management from York University and was extensively engaged in developing and implementing models for Shared Services within the non-profit environment. This focus involved both corporate governance arrangements, partnership agreements and building of trust relationships. Rick is married (Tina Hill) and has two sons and four grandchildren. Tina and Rick now both retired enjoy spending their time between their home and cottage in Wiarton and Neyaashiinigmiing.

Robert Kanduth Owen Sound
Director
Bob Kanduth is a retired media and government relations professional with a background in public relations consulting and communications advisory roles. Bob has worked with notable organizations in the education, electricity and health sectors, and the Government of Ontario. He is skilled in community engagement, strategic communication, and business development. Bob graduated from
McMaster University, Hamilton. He is currently active in the Owen Sound community as past Chair of the Bluewater Association for Lifelong Learning, Vice Chair of the YMCA, and member of various cultural and recreational organizations.

Terry King Owen Sound
Director / Treasurer
Terry has been an Owen Sounder since birth. After graduating from the University of Waterloo in 1976, he received his CA designation in 1978 and his CFP in 1999. He has been a partner with King and Associates LLP Chartered Accountants since its inception in 1981. He can assist entrepreneurial clients in areas of owner/manager remuneration, succession planning, sales and acquisitions, employee compensation arrangements and general business counselling. Terry is married with two children and is a member of the Ramoca Shrine Club and is actively involved in minor lacrosse.

Neil McCutcheon Owen Sound
Director
Neil McCutcheon is a lifelong resident of Grey County. After a decade of dairy farming Neil returned to school and obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation. He used the designation for a career in public accounting with a twelve-year stint as the controller at Shouldice Designer Stone in Shallow Lake. Most recently he is the Director of business operations for the Owen Sound Attack Major Junior Hockey team. Neil has volunteered as a minor sports coach and has served as president of Brightshores Regional Hospital Foundation. He resides in Owen Sound with his spouse Yvonne.

Kate Mosher Owen Sound
Vice Chair
Working for philanthropic and charitable organizations in Canada and the US for over 15 years, Kate Mosher's skills range from expertise in fundraising, marketing, communications, board management to project leadership and strategic planning. Kate is passionate about lifelong (un)learning and is committed to equity, justice, and liberation for all. Kate is interested in reimagining of what is possible for our world and the ideas that arise when we listen to understand.
Kate loves public libraries, fiber arts, hiking, cycling, podcasts, and being with her family. Kate values community care, creative thinking, and curiosity, and wishes to use this role with CFGB to make a positive difference in our community.

Adam Penny Toronto
Director
ADAM PENNY recently took the position of Senior Wealth Consultant/Investment Counsellor with Cidel Private Bank in Toronto. Before this, he worked for Scotiabank/Jarislowsky Fraser Ltd. as an Institutional Portfolio Manager for over five years, where he became acquainted with CFGB as a Portfolio Manager. Adam holds a Master of Science in Finance, a Master of Business Administration (Texas A&M University), and a Bachelor of Arts (University of Waterloo). He is a CFA Charter holder and a registered Chartered Investment Manager. Adam is very supportive of the Community Foundation model of philanthropy and also volunteers with the Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough. Adam currently lives in Toronto, Ontario.

Jane Phillips Annan
Director
Jane Philips holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Guelph, a marketing diploma from Ryerson University, and a Teaching and Training Adults certificate from Georgian College. Jane has a diverse set of employment experiences as an educator, marketer, journalist, and business owner. She has 35 years experience in business development and 40 years experience in self employment. She was the manager of the Business Enterprise Centre in Owen Sound for 18 years. She has been an active volunteer in our community with the Owen Sound Little Theatre, as a Past President of the Owen Sound Chamber of Commerce, and as a board member of Safe N Sound.

Sharon Vokes Kilsyth
Director
Prior to retirement Sharon served the County of Grey for 38 years where she gained extensive municipal experience in senior management. She served as Interim CAO at the County for eight months in 2015. As a Director she managed a varied portfolio providing her with a broad range of skill sets that support diverse aspects of community wellbeing.
She is an Accredited Ontario Municipal Clerk and holds a diploma in Public Administration from Western University. Sharon is also an active volunteer in the community having served on committees with the Association of Municipal Clerks Treasurers and Managers of Ontario, Georgian College and the Owen Sound and District Zonta Club. She also volunteers for the Municipal Retirees Organization of Ontario.
She lives near Kilsyth (Georgian Bluffs) with her husband. She has two sons and is the proud grandmother of six lively grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and spending time with family and friends.
