Fall Community Grants Now Open – Apply by Sept. 15
Community Grants provide up to $5,000 to support new or expanding projects and programs that improve community vitality across Grey and Bruce counties. Whether your organization is launching a new initiative, expanding an existing program, or addressing an emerging community need, Community Grants can help turn your ideas into action.
Last year, CFGB supported a wide range of innovative projects that are making a difference throughout our region, including:
- Artcures Inc. – Canvas and Connection, a community art installation celebrating peace and belonging in downtown Owen Sound.
- Bluewater Education Foundation – Rankin River Canoe Rally, an outdoor learning experience connecting participants with local ecosystems and history.
- Friends of the Dundalk Library – Expanding Literacy Initiatives at the Library, helping families build strong reading habits through improved access to literacy resources.
- Grey Sauble Conservation Authority – Building Connection Through Conservation, engaging community members in hands-on turtle conservation workshops.
- Canadian Mental Health Association Grey Bruce – Parents Like Us, expanding support for caregivers of youth affected by substance use.
- Community Outreach Program Wiarton – Enhancing its community lunch program to support individuals experiencing food insecurity.
- The Meeting Place Tobermory – Kitchen Kids: Cook It Up, giving youth practical cooking skills while building confidence and healthy habits.
- PRANCE (Pegasus Riding Association Nurturing Challenged Equestrians) – The Gentle Horse Program, providing equine-assisted wellness experiences for seniors and individuals living with dementia.
- The Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation – Microplastic Collection and Education Program, helping protect local shorelines while educating the community about environmental stewardship.
These projects represent just a few of the many community-driven initiatives funded through CFGB's Community Grants program.
